KingdomConnect ("we," "us," or "our") is a church community platform operated by The Baxter Group LLC. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the KingdomConnect mobile application and website at kingdomchurchconnect.com.
By using KingdomConnect, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
KingdomConnect is designed for use by churches and their members. Organizations ("churches") who deploy KingdomConnect are responsible for appropriate use within their community, including ensuring compliance with age requirements for their members.
2. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account information: Name, email address, display name, profile photo
- Profile data: Birthday (optional), emergency contact (optional), ministry preferences
- Content: Posts, comments, prayer requests, messages, and other content you submit
- Payment information: Processed securely via Stripe — we do not store card numbers
Information Collected Automatically
- Device information: Device type, operating system, push notification tokens
- Usage data: Features used, pages viewed, interaction timestamps
- Location (optional): Only when you explicitly use check-in or beacon features
Information from Third Parties
- Firebase (Google) for push notifications
- Stripe for payment processing
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and operate the KingdomConnect platform
- Send push notifications for messages, events, and community activity
- Process giving/donations through your church
- Enable church administrators to manage their community
- Detect, investigate, and prevent safety violations and abuse
- Comply with legal obligations including mandatory child protection reporting
- Improve the platform through anonymized usage analytics
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
4. Data Sharing
Within Your Church
Your profile, posts, and activity are visible to other members of your church organization within the app, as configured by your church administrator.
Service Providers
We share data with service providers who help operate the platform (cloud hosting, push notifications, payment processing). These providers are contractually required to protect your data.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of users — including mandatory reporting of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through the app (Profile → Delete Account) or by contacting us at privacy@kingdomchurchconnect.com.
Some data may be retained for longer periods where required by law or for safety investigations.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, secure cloud hosting, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no system is completely secure — please use a strong, unique password for your account.
7. Children's Privacy & COPPA
Age Requirements
KingdomConnect is intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us immediately at safety@kingdomchurchconnect.com.
For users between 13 and 18 years of age, use of KingdomConnect must be with parental or guardian consent. Church administrators are responsible for ensuring their platform use complies with applicable laws regarding minors.
We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) regarding children's data.
8. Child Safety Policy
🛡️ Zero Tolerance for Child Exploitation
KingdomConnect has a zero-tolerance policy for content or behavior that sexualizes, exploits, abuses, or endangers children. This includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, solicitation of minors, and any other form of child exploitation.
Prohibited Content & Behavior
The following are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination and reporting to authorities:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind
- Grooming behavior or attempting to solicit minors for sexual purposes
- Sharing, distributing, or linking to child exploitation material
- Impersonating a minor to target or deceive other users
- Any behavior that puts a child's safety or wellbeing at risk
Detection & Enforcement
- User-reported content is reviewed by our safety team
- Church administrators and team leads are notified of safety reports
- Violations result in immediate suspension and permanent ban
- CSAM is reported to NCMEC's CyberTipline as required by federal law
- We cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations
How to Report
In the app: Go to Profile → "Report Child Safety Concern" to submit a report directly from your account.
On the web: Visit kingdomchurchconnect.com/safety to submit a report.
By email: safety@kingdomchurchconnect.com
Emergency: If a child is in immediate danger, call 911 immediately. For CSAM tips, you may also report directly to the NCMEC CyberTipline.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of data we hold about you
- Correction: Update inaccurate or incomplete information
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data
- Portability: Request your data in a portable format
- Opt-out: Unsubscribe from non-essential notifications
